Lazy Music Video Sunday: Recap

Hello everyone! This is a recap of all the music videos released this week. Enjoy….

Sia – Alive

The best music video this week has got to be Sia’s Alive. Not only is the song beautiful; Sia’s voice in the song is just incredible. But the music video  is very simple and just as powerful. The video’s premise is quite simple. It’s  just of the little girl, wearing a Sia style wig, performing some Karate moves with some powerful facial expressions. The video is fun to watch, I was memorized by the girls moves and she’s definitely someone you don’t want to mess.

Justin Bieber – I’ll Show You

Justin Bieber is gearing up for a strong comeback. His latest singles have been very successful and well-received.  This week he released a new music video for the latest song ‘I’ll Show You.’ The music video is very simplistic and straight forward, just showing Bieber in different beautiful settings. In the end, he jumps into a freezing lake in his undies. The song is a slow melodic song, emphasizing on vulnerability with lyrics like   “Dont forget that I’m Human/Don’t forget that I am real.”  Over the past few years, Bieber has been in the media for his terrible choices,  it can be an obvious assumption that the song is about his relationship the media and the burden of fame. Will Bieber finally change his ways? Only time will tell. His latest album Purpose drops on Nov. 13.

Carly Rae Jepsen – Your Type

Carly Rae Jepsen is ready for the world to know that she is not a one-hit-wonder for her  infamous  song ‘Call Me Maybe.’ Her latest single ‘Your Type,’ is a refreshing pop song with upbeat melodies that differs quite a lot from her bubble gum hit. The music video is a fun video to watch, it’s basically a Cinderella story without a happy ending. As in the end she doesn’t find prince charming nor does she get away from her miserable life. The video is  pretty creative considering she played Cinderella on Broadway.
