In a sea of infinite amount of music being upload everyday, I still end up feeling like I have nothing left to listen. Time and time again, I crave music that makes me feel alive and soothes my soul. Mother Mother’s newest album No Culture has been the closest answer to my prayers. The album cover, a creepy baby in black ink, makes their music seem dark and deceiving, but its exactly what I’ve been craving. Its the perfect mix of rock, alternative and pop. Its been a while I’ve loved an album from beginning to end. The albums experimentations with sounds and lyrics is different, in a good type of way.
Mother Mother is a Canadian indie rock band based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The band consists of Ryan Guldemond on guitar and vocals, Molly Guldemond on vocals and keyboard, Jasmin Parkin on keyboard and vocals, and Ali Siadat on drums. The album opens up with the fiery single “Free.” The screeching chorus paired with the intense emotional guitar and drum melodies, is a signal of what to expect from the LP. The whole album is intensely fun to listen to with important messages of friendship and the world around us.
Blink 182 are set to dominate 2017. The band just announced a new headlining US tour with The Naked and Famous and Wavves.
In addition, Mark Hoppus revealed during a Twitter Q&A that we’d be hearing new Blink sometime in April. The band also has been teasing the deluxe edition of California, with Travis Barker revealing that it “almost should be a new album.”
