Cage the Elephant are stripping down for their next project. Lead singer Matt Shultz announced via Instagram that the band is releasing a new LP featuring 21 songs from their past 4 albums. All these singles will be live, stripped down and will feature choir and strings. This isn’t the first time the band has gone acoustic, earlier this year the band announced their Live & Unpeeled: The Acoustic Tour, which spanned through different cities in the US.
Miley Cyrus is one again changing her music identity. This time, returning to her rock and country roots with her first single “Malibu,” which will be featured in her untitled LP, expected to arrive later this year. The single is a huge departure from the extravagant person Cyrus previously portrayed. The single is stripped down, showing an emotionally vulnerable side from the singer. The focus is on Cyrus’ simple vocals, and lovestruck lyrics which are written about Cyrus longtime love, Liam Hemsworth.
Red Hot Chili Peppers have released a music video for the latest single from their album The Getaway. “Goodbye Angels” was directed by Thoranna Sigurdardottir and features actress Klara Kristin spending a whirlwind night, running away from cops and ending up sneaking into Red Hot Chili Peppers show. Check it out.

Love it or hate it, Paramore are now embracing a quirky pop style for their fifth LP, After Laughter. The band have released their second single, “Told You so,” and accompanying music video.
The band’s fifth LP marks the return of founding drummer Zac Farro, who wrote and directed the video for “Told You So.” With help from Aaron Joseph, he based it on the band’s car rides after recording sessions in L.A.
In an interview with FADER, singer Hayley Williams, said they used Zac’s actual car for filming, and shot the rest at guitarist Taylor York’s house with a bunch of friends. “There’s darkness and suspense and then there’s a sense of unity in the full band shots in the car,” she said, “where we all wear red and dance together to the music.”
After Laughter will be available May 12th on Fueled By Ramen.

Like everyone else, I listened to Gorillaz highly anticipated album Humanz this past weekend. Although there was definitely some hits and misses, there was one single that stood out the most, “Momentz(featuring De La Soul).” The first time I listened to it, it just screams Gorillaz. Its so odd and different. It reminds me so much of, “Feel Good Inc.” Its a single that people will absolutely go crazy for, with immensely fun lyrics and over the top production.
