The moment we were all waiting for is finally here. Fall Out Boy‘s announcement is here. And its a good one. The band have offically announced a new album. It’s called M A N I A, and it’s out September 15. The band have also shared a video for a new song from the album, “Young and Menace.” Check it Out:
As another surprise, the band are also going on tour. Here are the dates:
Get those tissue ready. It’s time to say goodbye to Yellowcard. The band has released a heartfelt farwell music video for the single ‘A Place We Set Afire.’ The video features emotional footage of the band, interactions with fans and tear-jerking interviews with lead singer Ryan Key.
The single is off Yellowcard’s self-titled final album, which released last September. According to the band’s twitter account, the song was inspired by and written for their fans.
Love them or hate them, The Chainsmokers keep on releasing new music. The music duo have released an unexpected tone down single titled “The One.” I will admit I actually enjoy the single. It’s a very calming song, very different from their previous singles. My only problem is the constant need to have Andrew Taggart sing vocals. Taggart vocals are crying-worthy. He is not a professional singer and should stick to producing music instead. I prefer them collaborating with artists. That’s when the real magic happens.
The new single is part of the duo’s upcoming album titled Memories…Do Not Open, out April 7
The date has been set. Gorillaz are releasing their new album Humanz on April 28. In series of Instagram posts, the band also teased their star-studded collaborations which includes Mavis Staples, Carly Simon, Grace Jones, De La Soul, Savages’ Jehnny Beth, Pusha T, Danny Brown, Vince Staples, Kelela, Kali Uchis, Popcaan, Jamie Principle, Kilo Kish, Anthony Hamilton, Peven Everett, Zebra Katz and D.R.A.M.
That not all, this afternoon Damon Albarn will premiere two tracks from Humanz during an appearance on BBC Radio 1.
Earlier this year, Gorillaz released “Hallelujah Money,” featuring Benjamin Clementine.
This weeks is a great week for music lovers. If you prefer rock and alternative, Depeche Mode, Spoon and Milky Chance have released their highly anticipated albums. Pop and mainstream lovers will be happy to know that singer Pitbull and Zara Larsson also have released new music. Now the question remains, which one are you picking up?
Who knew so many artists had Irish ancestry. To celebrate St. Patricks Day, the global music streaming service Deezer has found 10 of the most successful artists with Irish heritage. From Ed Sheeran to a surprising Rhianna, the following artists have Irish descendants.
Instead of celebrating the start of spring, Weezer is bring summer early with their new single “Feels Like Summer.” The single’s eccentric pop and synth production is an experimental delight. Fans might not like how it strays away from Weezer’s signature indie rock sound, but I think it’s quite enjoyable. Its catchy and still has those funky Weezer lyrics.
The single is assumed to be the lead single of The Black Album. The follow up album to last years, White Album. Lead singer, Rivers Cuomo has previously stated that the album would be more gritty, tackling “more mature topics” and be “less summer day and more winter night.” But with the realize of this single, its feels like that might not be 100% true.
Follows last week’s single release, Lorde is back with a heartbreaking piano ballad titled “Liability.” The single is off her upcoming album Melodrama, which now has a release date of June 16.
Review: Lorde’s second single is a complete departure from her first single. ‘Green Light’ felt like a celebration of her return. ‘Liability’s heartbreaking lyrics of love and insecurity, humanizes Lorde. Although some of the lyrics might sound a bit awkward, its different. The single emphasizes Lorde as a storyteller, not a pop-star.
